Dav 1 v Diana 2

Daventry 1 clearly missed their absent No 1 Scott Bates as they lost to Diana 2nd team 3-2

Young Ryan Swaddling making his first team debut (for the absent Bates) played well, but sadly was outgunned by the Diana No 5 Ryan Feakin 3 games to 1

Simon Evenden had the longest game of the night. After winning the first 2 games, Jez Carr got into his rhythm and drew level to 2/2. The final game saw Carr cruise to victory, as Evenden had nothing left in the tank, going down 0-9 in the fifth.

Harry Heathcock was no match for Luc Elsby losing 0-3.

Nick Englert was far too good for Angul Elsby and took him out with a comfortable 3-0 win.

The man of the match title goes to Mitch Bates. With Daventry, having already lost the match, Mitch went on court and played superbly against the more experienced Arron Toms. Bates took the first game and Toms leveled. The third game saw a mighty tussle as both players covered every inch of the court, trying to out play each other. The viewers gallery was packed with enthralled spectators marveling the quality of squash, as Bates took the third 9-5. The fourth game Bates dug in and with very few errors, cruised to a comfortable 9-2 win to take the match 3-1.
