Welcome to Daventry Squash Club!

History

Daventry Squash Club opened in the Autumn of 1974 providing to the community of Daventry and its neighbourhood, the opportunity to play squash. Since that time the club has grown from a 2 court complex to a 5 court complex, including a glass-backed court with a viewing capability in excess of 80 people.

The courts, changing rooms, and public areas are subject to regular maintenance and present some of the best squash facilities in Northamptonshire.

In the recent years DSC has been the first choice for Northamptonshire Squash Racquets Association to hold County and Inter County competitions.

Daventry Squash Club is a ’membership club’ managed by a committee of volunteers drawn from its’ subscribing members. This provides for Daventry Squash Club to offer highest quality facilities and lower cost squash to the community.

Daventry Squash Club is a constituent element of Daventry and District Sports Club, who are the central coordinating and management organisation responsible for the social, sporting, and public facilities that are established at Stefen Hill.

Daventry and District Sports Club, and its’ constituent Clubs were initiated by the Daventry and District Sports Trust a Charitable Trust articled on the 22nd May 1972. This trust was able to secure substantial donation from the Nene Foundation to fund and create the complex and playing areas existing today at Stefen Hill.
